The current North Rustico Promenade has been serving our community for the past 23 years and its significance in North Rustico cannot be understated. It has not only become a local landmark but also a vital part of the community. The boardwalk is heavily used by people of all ages for recreational activities, leisurely walks, and access to our breathtaking waterfront.
Due to its age, and of course, Mother Natures’ involvement over the past 23 years, the boardwalk needs to be renovated and the existing planks need to be replaced with a higher quality option. This initiative is of utmost importance as it directly impacts Islanders, our towns residents, visitors, and the overall well-being of our community. The proposed replacement of the Boardwalk is not just a necessary renovation but also a step towards ensuring the safety, accessibility, and overall enjoyment of our residents and the many tourists who visit North Rustico every year. By investing in a new boardwalk, we can maintain the charm and attractiveness of our town, making it an even more appealing destination for travelers and a comfortable and enjoyable space for locals.
We have secured financial support from the federal government, the provincial government, and the town of North Rustico and along with your support we hope that this project will become a reality. Should you wish to make a donation towards this important initiative, it would be greatly appreciated.
Boards can be purchased for $100 each or donate what you can. Donations can be made by cash, cheque or e-transfer to townpayment@northrustico.com
Tax credits will be made available by the Town Office when you make your donation.
